In today’s world, being an active citizen is not only about streets, schools, or parliaments — it’s also about the digital space.

As young people, much of your participation, learning, and activism happens online. That’s why digital citizenship is essential.

🔹 It’s about safety.

Knowing how to protect your privacy, recognize misinformation, and use technology responsibly keeps you safe online.

🔹 It’s about responsibility.

Every post, like, or share has an impact. Digital citizens understand that their actions online can inspire, inform, or even harm others.

🔹 It’s about participation.

Social media isn’t just for entertainment — it’s a platform for change. From climate justice to human rights, young people use digital tools to raise their voices and influence real decisions.

🔹 It’s about building peace.

The way we interact online reflects the kind of society we want offline. Respectful dialogue, tolerance, and empathy are keys to digital — and social — peace.

🌍 Peace and democracy need active, informed, and responsible voices online and offline. As digital citizens, youth can shape a safer, fairer, and more connected future.
