We as One Successfully Completes the "Hopeful Horizons for Refugee Youth and Children" Project🙌

We as One successfully concluded its participation as a partner in the Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project "Hopeful Horizons for Refugee Youth and Children" (Project No: 2024-1-ES02-KA152-YOU-000199311), coordinated by KUFF Asociación de Solidaridad con Refugiados y Minorías. The project took place in Madrid/Alcobendas, Spain, from 5–13 November 2024, bringing together young people from Austria, Türkiye, Spain, Latvia, North Macedonia, and Ukraine🌿

Throughout the project, participants explored the realities faced by refugee children through a variety of non-formal learning activities designed to promote inclusion, empathy, intercultural dialogue, and active citizenship. Creative workshops, educational sessions, cultural exchanges, and direct interaction with refugee children enabled participants to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of equality, solidarity, and social responsibility.

The final day focused on evaluating the overall impact of the project. Participants reflected on their personal learning journeys, exchanged feedback, and discussed the knowledge and competences they had developed during the youth exchange. These evaluation sessions highlighted significant progress in intercultural communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and awareness of refugee-related issues.

As part of the closing programme, participants completed their Youthpass self-assessment process and received their official Youthpass Certificates, recognizing the competences they had acquired throughout the mobility. The certification ceremony celebrated not only the successful completion of the project but also the personal and professional growth achieved by every participant❤️

The project concluded with strengthened international friendships, valuable intercultural experiences, and a shared commitment to creating more inclusive communities for refugee children and young people. By participating in Hopeful Horizons for Refugee Youth and Children, We as One reaffirmed its dedication to supporting Erasmus+ initiatives that empower young people, encourage international cooperation, and promote equal opportunities across Europe.

The experience leaves a lasting legacy of compassion, collaboration, and hope demonstrating that when young people come together across cultures, they can help build a future where every child has the opportunity to feel safe, valued, and included.
